MASERATI IN THE NEWS

04/01/2005 / Turin

Today sees the beginning of another phase in Maserati’s history with a new President at its helm.

Sergio Marchionne has become President of the Modenese company while Karl-Heinz Kalbfell, who maintains responsibility of Alfa Romeo’s Brand & Commercial Departments, is Chief Executive Officer.

As already announced on 16 February, the ownership of Maserati, which was wholly owned by Ferrari, has been transferred to Fiat.

The move foresees that Alfa Romeo and Maserati will co-operate closely technically and commercially, particularly in important international projects.

Maserati will, however, continue its co-operation with Ferrari, especially in industrial, technical, engine and sales network terms.
