Maserati Plant Achieves Bronze Level Certification
July 15, 2009
Maserati, like other Fiat Group companies, uses the WCM system, an international methodology for production cycle organization, to manage its factories according to the highest world-class standards.
And it is within this context that the Modena plant has been awarded the Bronze Level certification by the special WCM audit Commission chaired by Prof. Hajime Yamashina.
This important recognition has been achieved thanks to the global involvement and active collaboration of all Maserati’s employees in the rigorous application of the principles and methods of WCM, a system that has improved the production process, logistics and quality, and allowed the Company to significantly reduce costs.
This recognition represents the first step along the way to excellence of World Class Manufacturing.
The result achieved further enhances the intensive work carried out to make Maserati’s production structure ever more efficient and flexible.
In recent years, Maserati has brought its manufacturing plant up to the highest standards of efficiency, completely remodernising all the structures starting with the production lines, which today are amongst the most advanced in the world for the construction of small series luxury cars, where the craftsmanship, dexterity and “stylishness” of skilled operators enable the customer to receive a unique, tailor-made product. |
