On Saturday, November 8th, our Maserati Club will meet to enjoy a beautiful fall day visiting some of the unique wineries of the Shenandoah Valley.
We will meet at the Plymouth Post Office on Main Street at 10:30 a.m. in Plymouth. From Hwy 49 turn left onto Main Street, go 1 block and the P.O will be on your right. At 11:00 we will begin our visit to the local vineyards, then take a scenic drive to Fairplay for lunch at the Bocconato Trattoria -- authentic northern Italian dining. Chef Giovanni will offer us four selections from his fabulous menu. Maps of the area will be handed out before we leave the P.O.
Following lunch, we will visit a few more wineries around the Shenandoah Valley, then the rest of the afternoon will be yours, to visit the quaint shops in Sutter Creek, Jackson or relax at your B & B before dinner. Dinner reservations are waiting for us at a truely lovely Tuscan setting called Villa Buscaglia, located on Jackson Gate Road in Jackson (www.villabuscaglia.net/buscaglia.html). We will meet there at 5:00 and they have set aside parking for Maseratis. Other cars can park in the lower main parking area. Directions to the restaurant will be passed out at lunch so be sure to ask for them. All meals and drinks are no-host.
On Sunday morning you are invited to enjoy mimosas at our house, relax and visit before heading home. You might want to visit Apple Hill which is open for those who love just picked apples, apple pies and fresh pressed cider. Go east on Hwy 50 and take the Schnell Rd. exit in Placerville and follow the signs. Boeger Winery is also on that road.
Please let Gene O'Gorman know if you are attending no later than November 1st, so we can make reservations for lunch and dinner. The Trattatoria is small so Giovanni needs to seat us comfortably. Gene's number is 925.484.1697. Looking forward to seeing everyone and having a great Maserati day.
