ISSUE #76 November 1998
This special issue features the debut of the new Maserati 3200 GT at the Paris Auto Show.
- FEATURE: The Maserati 3200 GT debut. 36 pages of color. Published in English and Italian.
Special sections include:
- "The 3200 GT, an overview." A true Maserati, it heralds the beginning of a new story for the "Trident" Marque. It uses the 'GT' initials as a reminder of the company's first great road car -- the 3500 GT -- which had long and acclaimed success.
- "The Modena Expo."A special presentation was made to the press and special guests in Exposition Hall of Modena. Historically important Maseratis were used to help tell the story of the birth of the 3200 GT along with Giugiaro's renderings, color swatches, etc. Great photos in this section.
- "Paris Auto Show." Officially toasting the debut at the Paris Auto Show is Mr. Luca di Montezemolo, Chief Engineer Roberto Corradi, and Mr. Paolo Marinsek, Managing Director of both Maserati and Ferrari.
- "Inside the Factory." Frank Mandarano takes us into the Factory where we can almost hear the sounds of the assembly line.
- "3200 GT Spyder." Reprinted from the October issue of Automobilismo magazine, we get an idea of what the 3200 Spyder might look like.
- REGIONAL NEWS: John Asmus, Regional Director, reports on the Club's attendance at the Annual Bocce Ball Tournament and Picnic, and a few notes on the '98 Concours Italiano and Maserati Days events.
- INTERNATIONAL NEWS: The '98 Maserati Classic International Rally, held in the Netherlands. Overview and photos by Frits and Coreille Harms, on behalf of the Organizing Committee.
