Jaguar exec to head Maserati North America

Veteran Jaguar executive Marti Eulberg will take the helm of Maserati North America as president and CEO on June 1.

She most recently was executive vice president of sales and marketing for Jaguar North America, a position she's had since 2006. She also has been vice president of sales for Volvo, and she started her career at Ford Motor Co. in 1986.

Eulberg replaces James Selwa, who left the company in February after his contract expired. He had led Maserati's North American business since July 2005.

At the time of his departure, the automaker said Maserati's global CEO, Roberto Ronchi, would oversee North America operations.

Eulberg will report to Raffaele Fusilli, Maserati's commercial director. Maserati is owned by Fiat.

Maserati Successes

After a successful year, reporting selling 7353 cars in 2007, the market is looking for Maserati's plans to complete the line up with a convertible. Since the departure of the last generation Maserati Spyder, there has been a lot of speculation about the next convertible. Sources on the Internet have been teasing us with photos of the next generation Maserati convertible for months. Is this the new Maserati Hardtop Convertible?
